Chris Bundschu, President
Chief Executive Officer

Growing up in Fort Myers as the son of a busy Realtor, Chris began in real estate literally at the ground: mowing, sweeping and putting up "For Sale" signs.

While in the University of Florida he obtained his real estate license as well as a Florida Class "A" General Contractor's license. He graduated in 1972 with a degree in Civil Engineering and then worked for a local engineer while obtaining his Professional Engineer's designation. During that time Chris focused primarily on governmental agency environmental permitting for the developments of other developers, but he also stayed involved in his father's real estate firm and started a construction/development company of his own.

Chris has had extensive and varied experience in creating the projects Bundschu Kraft developed. His particular expertise is project financial feasibility, but he is also involved in the coordination of the legal and engineering professionals necessary from property purchase to zoning and the development order process. Chris also has many years' experience as a bank director, which has given him the ability to see the project as a lender would.

While he is involved in the detail of the site value engineering planning, Chris' role in Bundschu Kraft is to utilize the detail provided by our personnel and the outside professionals to create the "big picture" solution which best meets the clients criteria.

Dan Kraft, Vice President
Chief Operations Officer

Moving from Fort Wayne, Indiana to Fort Myers, Florida during his high school years, Dan met Chris at Cypress Lake High School. Dan had worked in his family's heavy equipment operation, bulldozing dirt and then fixing the equipment.

After high school and while attending Edison Community College he worked in Chuck Bundschu Real Estate, Chris' father's real estate company, doing property maintenance and repairs and he obtained his real estate license. When Chris started his construction/development company, Dan joined him and took on the responsibilities of cost estimating and construction supervision. He also obtained his Class "A" General Contractor's license.

Over the years, Dan has been involved in all phases of construction/development project planning, estimating, bidding, and supervision. Since Bundschu Kraft has built and managed commercial and light industrial property for themselves as well as for others, he also has had the experience of living for many years with the results of his work. There aren't many contractors around here who have had to do that. He is uniquely qualified to see potential problems, to assist in the planning stages in minimizing costs without sacrificing quality, and to see that the finished product not only meets the specifications, but also will perform as required.

Dan's role in Bundschu Kraft has two critical parts. The first part is providing the essential preliminary project cost estimates to Chris for the financial feasibility analysis of a project usually not yet drawn on paper, then working with the architects and engineers to produce the plans that meet all the clients' needs. The second part of Dan's role in Bundschu Kraft is to make sure the project goes from paper to reality, successfully.
