The BK Team

Gayle Bundschu, Controller - Corporate Secretary/Treasurer

Gayle moved to Fort Myers in 1973, after graduation from the University of Florida, to marry and work with Chris. Starting in Chuck Bundschu Real Estate, she assisted in the office with secretarial and bookkeeping duties and used a little of her journalism degree to write classified ads. She also obtained a real estate license.

As Chris' construction/ development business grew she learned by doing everything from on-site model home sales to job costing to owners' association management. Gayle also obtained a bachelor's degree in accounting from the University of South Florida attending classes at night.  Recently, Gayle managed the company's computer software transition to Timberline Construction Accounting, which will facilitate company growth and reporting needs.

Bundschu Kraft has had, over the years, developments from Bokeelia to Naples with marketing and secretarial staff as needed, in addition to our main office in Fort Myers. Gayle manages the office staff, coordinates functions with the property management companies, and supervises the job cost accounting and financial reporting to banks, owners and the required governmental filings. Building construction consists of more than bricks and mortar; it is also stacks of paperwork. She and her staff are also responsible for the necessary subcontractor insurance certification and licensing, and job lien waiver documentation that helps protect the company as well as our clients and their lenders from seemingly tangential, but potentially significant, problems.
